The Man with Two Faces

I woke up to pain, that is you –

Woke up to pillows hugged and sad lullabies on repeat.

This huge gravity of realization,

Of sensory experience pulling me back to being human.

And I realized,

You are the same person I’d keep myself from loving

And the man I’d attach myself to when they ask me of commitments.

You are the exact face I see in bliss

And the same face I see behind the blur of tears.

The man that had long led me here, blindly;

And the man that left me without a word
